QNB Stars League: Akram Afif leads Al-Sadd to a 5-1 win over Al-Gharafa

Al-Sadd returned to winning ways with a 5-1 win over Al-Gharafa in Week 11 of the QNB Stars League on Monday at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium.

Baghdad Bounedjah opened the scoring for Al-Sadd in the second minute itself before Akram Afif doubled the lead in the 13th minute with a penalty. Hassan Al-Haydos then made it 3-0 from another penalty, and Afif netted twice in the second half (52’ and 72’) to complete his hattrick. Sofiane Hanni scored a consolation goal for Al-Gharafa in the 74th minute.
