Mohammed Gholam: Emir Cup win shows our worth, I thank the fans

Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi expressed his happiness after the Wolves defeated Al-Rayyan in the Emir Cup final and won their 16th title in the competition.

Speaking after the match, Mohammed Gholam said: “This was a deserved triumph. This was a crowning of all the efforts of the team since the start of the season and the excellent performance they displayed, especially in the league. Winning the two Cups shows our worth and place in Qatari football.”

The sporting director also spoke about the role played by the Al-Sadd fans and the support they had for the team throughout the season. He said: “The Al-Sadd fans were the greatest support for us throughout the season and they did not leave the team even after losing out the league title. Everyone in the Al-Sadd family dedicate the win to the fans.”
