Xavi wins QSL Player of the Month award for April 2017

Al-Sadd captain Xavi was chosen for the QSL Player of the Month award for April 2017. This is the second time that he has won the award after December 2016.

In the three matches that were played in April, Xavi displayed excellent performances as Al-Sadd defeated Al-Rayyan 4-1 in Round 24, drew with Al-Sailiya 2-2 in Round 25 and finally defeated El-Jaish 2-1 in Round 26.

Xavi registered two assists in April, keeping up with his good form throughout the 2016-17 season which saw Al-Sadd finish second in the QSL and also win the Qatar Cup title.

The Spanish maestro created an average of 4.7 chances and 84.7 passes per game with a passing accuracy of 92.4%.

Xavi will look to continue with the title success after the Qatar Cup triumph, with the focus now shifting to the Emir Cup.
