Olympic team trio return to training
The Al-Sadd trio of Meshaal Barsham, Hussain Bahzad and Hashim Ali returned to the club for training, after the end of their camp with the Qatar Olympic team which is preparing for the AFC U-23 Championship.
The players reported for training on Monday, as the first team kicked off its preparations for the upcoming AFC Champions League semifinal second leg against Al-Hilal, which will be played on October 22 in Riyadh.
Al-Sadd had resumed training on Monday after a two-day break which followed the Ooredoo Cup game against Al-Wakrah.
The team is currently missing 11 internationals who are with their respective national teams.
This is an addition to Abdulaziz Al-Ansari, who is recuperating after a muscle injury, and Ahmed Sayyar who is suffering from an illness.
Head coach Xavi Hernandez is now depending on the U-23 team players during the current phase of preparations, ahead of crucial fixtures in the league and in Asia, in addition to the Club World Cup which will be played in December in Doha.
