Mohammed Gholam: Congratulations to all Saddawis, the players deserve a salute

Al-Sadd sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi congratuled all those who love the club after the 2-1 win over El-Jaish in the final of the 2017 Qatar Cup.

In his post-match comments, Al-Baloushi said: “The team lost out on the league title. It was difficult but this Qatar Cup triumph is a good way to make up for that. I thank all the players and the coaching staff who worked for this.”

The sporting director also said: “Our players deserve a salute. They succeeded in giving their best during the match and showed an excellent level of performance, with the personality of the true champions. They deserve this honour.”

He added: “Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God) for this title, which came after exhausting effort frome everyone. We will celebrate the title today before starting our preparation for the Emir Cup from tomorrow.”
