Mohammed Ghanem: Al-Sadd’s fans are the main reason for the victory

Al-Sadd director of football Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali dedicated the team’s Qatar Cup triumph to all of its fans, who he said played the biggest role in the 2-1 win over El-Jaish in the final.

Speaking after the match, Al-Ali also said: “I am very happy with this triumph which came after long suffering, especially with the misfortune we have had recently. However, the players played like men and delivered a strong performance against a tough opponent. This title win will be a huge motivation ahead of the Emir’s Cup.”

The director of football added: “Al-Sadd always loves the winners’ podium. The Cup wanted Al-Sadd!”
