Hamid Ismail suspended, pending further enquiry

The Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) has decided to suspend the player Hamid Ismail from playing for Al-Sadd Sports or the Qatar national team in any games and competitions as of today and until further notice. The Executive Committee has also decided to suspend payment of all financial dues to the player and to call for an investigation to find out more details and the reasons for the statements made by the player.

The decision came on the back of the letter sent by the national team management on 5 February, regarding Hamid Ismail’s comments after the match between Al-Sadd and Al-Shahaniya in the Qatar Stars League, which was held on 2 February.
