Ferreira oversees training session; Xavi and Pedro join the squad

Al-Sadd first team head coach Jesualdo Ferreira took charge of training during the morning session on Friday, the second day of the 2017-18 preseason camp which is being held in Bad Häring, Austria.

Ferreira joined the squad alongside three of his staff, Nuno Almeida (assistant coach), Jose Pedro (fitness coach) and Pedro Antonio (technical analyst), in addition to first team stars Xavi Hernandez and Pedro Miguel.

The coaching staff used the morning session to work on improving the muscular strength of the players. The players underwent movement exercises designed to improve the stretching and flexibility of the muscles.

The fitness coach Jose Pedro worked on strengthening the muscles of the legs and arms through reaction exercises in small areas such as jumping upwards and sideways.

Al-Sadd are now scheduled to hold the evening session from 5:30 PM local time (6:30 PM Doha). The session will see goalkeeper Saoud Al-Hajri join the squad after he arrived in Austria on Friday.
