The Al-Sadd football first team held its final training session on Thursday night at the club’s training facility, to conclude their preparations for the upcoming Emir’s Cup semifinal against Al-Duhail. Algerian winger Jugurtha Hamroun made his return to the squad after missing the last two games due to injury.
The match against Al-Duhail will kick off at 7 PM on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
Thursday’s final training session saw the players undergo physical and technical training, in addition to playing out a mini practice game between themselves.
At the end of the session, Ferreira announced the matchday squad. The 18-man squad is as follows: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Yasir Abubakar, Jugurtha Hamroun, Pedro Miguel, Xavi, Khoukhi Boualem, Hamid Ismail, Morteza Pouraliganji, Abdelkarim Hassan, Akram Afif, Musab Kheder, Salem Al-Hajri, Hassan Ahmed, Ahmed Suhail, Hassan Al-Haydos, Ahmed Sayyar, Ali Ferydoon.
Later, the team left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha hotel, where they will stay overnight before leaving for the game on Friday evening.
