AL-SADD HOLD MAIN TRAINING SESSION FOR AL-GHARAFA

Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session on Wednesday evening from 5:45 PM at the club’s training pitch, as part of the preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 18 game against Al-Gharafa. The game is set to kick off at 6:40 PM on Friday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

High-voltage clash

The Wolves go into the match sitting in second place in the league table with 40 points. In their last game, Al-Sadd defeated Muaither 6-1.

As for Al-Gharafa, they are in fifth place with 30 points and won their last game against Al-Shahaniya 3-0.

In the last game between Al-Sadd and Al-Gharafa in the first phase of the league, the two teams played out a 3-3 draw.

Selecting the first XI

During Wednesday’s training session, the coaching staff were keen to select their options for the starting XI for the match against Al-Gharafa.

Competitive spirit

The training session was held amidst an atmosphere of great spirits with the players looking to reach the ideal levels of fitness ahead of the game. In the second half of the session, the players played out a practice match which showed a lot of spirit and effort from the players.

Morteza returns to group training

The main training session witnessed the return of Morteza Pouraliganji who rejoined the squad for group training after missing out on the last match against Muaither due to a calf muscle injury.

Al-Haydos returns from Germany

Another player to return was Hassan Al-Haydos, who arrived from Germany where he had gone in order to get medical clearance to train and play. Al-Haydos underwent warmup and stretching exercises in order to prepare for group training on Thursday ahead of Friday’s game against Al-Gharafa.
