Al-Sadd exit Emir Cup after semifinal defeat to Al-Duhail

Al-Sadd fell to a 1-0 loss to Al-Duhail in the Emir’s Cup semifinal, which meant that the team failed to make the final for the first time since 2011.

Jesualdo Ferreira’s Al-Sadd side were reduced to ten men at the end of the first half following a red card to Abdelkarim Hassan. Al-Duhail then took the lead through Almoez Ali, whose 68th minute strike proved to be the lone goal of the match.
