Gabi – Al-Sadd’s Player of the Month for September

Gabi has been selected as Al-Sadd’s best player for the month of September after a fan vote conducted on the club’s official Instagram page.

The Spanish midfielder, who arrived at the club in the summer, turned up with a series of impressive performances in September as Al-Sadd kept hold of top spot in the league table.

Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira handed over the award to Gabi, in the presence of sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi, on the sidelines of the main training session on Sunday before the AFC Champions League semifinal clash with Persepolis.

Gabi expressed his happiness after receiving the award, while speaking to the club website.

“I want to thank the fans who voted for me. I also want to thank my teammates for their performances, which have taken us to the top of the league. I hope the fans continue to support the team strongly in the game against Persepolis.”
