Xavi and Valentino Rossi fight it out in exhibition match

​Al-Sadd star and football legend Xavi led his Aspire Acadmey team out against the VR Riders Academy team of MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi, in an exhibition football match played at the Aspire Academy on Thursday afternoon, ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix, which is the first leg of the MotoGP season.

The Aspire Academy team won the match 3-2. It was played over two halves of 15 minutes each with 7 players on each side. Among those representing Aspire Academy alongside Xavi was former Espanyol and current Al-Rayyan star Sergio Garcia. On the other side, Valentino Rossi was accompanied by many of his racing rivals, including Romano Fenati, Nicolo Bulega, Andrea Migno, Francesco Bagnaia, Lorenzo Baldassarri, Nicolo Antonelli and Luca Marini.

Xavi and Rossi had earlier met in a similar match at the Camp Nou stadium in Barcelona back in 2011.
