29 Mar 2016

Al-Sadd midfielder Talal Al-Baloushi has stated that he is fully ready and fit to play with the first team against Sailiya in the QSL Round 24 match on Saturday, while pointing out that whether he plays or not is up to the coach who works for the best interests of the team.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with the official website of Al-Sadd, Talal said: “I have completely recovered from the injury and I am now fully ready to return to action once again after being absent since the ACL match against Al-Jazira due to my muscle injury.”

The midfielder added: “Al-Sadd is going through a crucial phase after the return of a number of important players to the team following their recovery from injuries, and also with the emergence of some excellent young players. There are multiple options now with the coach to select suitable players for the team in the league and also in the Qatar Cup and HH Emir Cup competitions.”

As for the fight for the second spot in the QSL, Talal said: “Of course, the race for the runners up position will be tough until the final round. The Al-Sadd players will have to take the responsibility to give their best in order to win the last three games and finish second so that we can maintain our chances of playing in Asia next season.”

He also went on to say: “The team still has a lot to offer coming towards the end of the season, especially with the Qatar Cup and Emir Cup yet to be played. They could provide a triumphant way to end the campaign for Al-Sadd and also a compensation for the fans of the team who deserved even more.”

Talal concluded the chat by saying: “Facing Al-Sailiya in the next game will be really difficult as they have always delivered strong performances against Al-Sadd. And we will not forget our defeat to them in the first phase; it will be a big motivating factor for us to go all out for a win and another three points in our campaign.”
