Saoud Al-Hajri returns to Doha for surgery

Al-Sadd goalkeeper Saoud Al-Hajri left the team’s preseason camp in Austria on Saturday afternoon, heading for Doha to undergo surgery on his left foot, which is scheduled for next week.

Al-Hajri had earlier undergone an anterior cruciate ligament injury during the team’s first preseason friendly against Turkish side Goztepe, which ended in a 4-4 draw.

Members of the Al-Sadd delegation bid farewell to Al-Hajri with sporting director Mohammed Gholam Al-Baloushi accompanying him to Munich airport in order to complete the formalities before his departure for Doha.
