Salem Al-Hajri: Happy to score, thanks to the fans

Al-Sadd midfielder Salem Al-Hajri’s delight knew no bounds after he scored a fine goal in the 3-1 win over Al-Duhail in Tuesday’s QNB Stars League summit clash.

Speaking after the game, Al-Hajri said: “This win is a result of a lot of hard work put in by all the players and I want to thank all the fans who supported us in this tough game.”

He added: “I am very happy with the goal I scored because it came at a tough time and after a lot of effort. This will remain the most precious goal for me, especially as it is my first with Al-Sadd.”

“Winning this game and going top of the league will give us a push to keep on winning in the second phase of the league, so that we can maintain the top spot for the rest of the season and win the league title.”
