QSL Cup: Al-Sadd conclude preparations ahead of Al-Shahaniya clash
The Al-Sadd first team wrapped up its preparations for the upcoming QSL Cup clash with Al-Shahaniya with a final training session at the club’s training facility on Saturday evening.
The QSL Cup draw placed Al-Sadd in Group B alongside Al-Rayyan, Al-Shahaniya, Al-Ahli, Al-Sailiya and Al-Khor.
Al-Sadd will play the game without a number of its first team stars who are away on international duty including nine Qatar national team members, in addition to Algeria’s Baghdad Bounedjah and Korea Republic’s Jung Woo-young.
The coaching staff are set to try out a number of young faces during the QSL Cup, as they look to give the U23 players exposure and playing time.
Saturday’s session saw the team work on light physical exercises, in addition to technical skill drills. Later, the players faced off amongst themselves in a practice mini match.
