Ooredoo Cup: Al-Sadd defeat Al-Shahania 3-1
Al-Sadd registered their first win in the 2019/20 Ooredoo Cup, after defeating Al-Shahania 3-1 in the Group A Round 2 clash which was played at the Al-Khor Stadium on Friday evening. The result means that the Wolves now have three points from two games.
Rami Suhail opened the scoring for Al-Sadd in the 7th minute, heading in a corner delivered by Abdulaziz Al-Ansari.
Al-Ansari then got on the scoresheet in the 35th minute, combining with Rami before finishing with a fierce low shot.
Al-Sadd’s third goal came in the second half, with Talal Abdullah sending a powerful shot past the Al-Shahania keeper after an assist from Abdelkarim Hassan.
In the 74th minute, Al-Shahania pulled a goal back through Al Dokali Al Sayed, who scored from the penalty spot.
