Jung ruled out of Al-Shahaniya clash, Al-Sadd wrap up preparations
Al-Sadd star Jung Woo-young has been ruled out of his side’s upcoming QNB Stars League game against Al-Shahaniya. The game is set to be played on Sunday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The confirmation comes after the player sustained an ankle injury in Al-Sadd’s last game against Esteghlal in the AFC Champions League.
Meanwhile, the rest of the team wrapped up their preparations for the game with a final training session on Saturday evening at the club’s training facility. The coaching staff focused on light technical drills with the ball, in addition to some movement exercises which was followed by a practice mini game.
After the end of the session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man matchday squad which is as follows: Saoud Al-Hajri, Meshaal Barsham, Yasir Abubakar, Khoukhi Boualem, Hassan Ahmed, Baghdad Bounedjah, Pedro Miguel, Xavi, Gabi, Musab Kheder, Hamid Ismail, Akram Afif, Abdelkarim Hassan, Ali Asad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Salem Al-Hajri, Ahmed Suhail, Ahmed Sayyar.
Later, the team left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha hotel, where they will stay overnight before leaving for the game on Sunday.
