Ibrahim Majid: Thank God for the win, we need to prepare well for the semifinal

Al-Sadd defender Ibrahim Majid described the side’s 4-1 win over Al-Kharaitiyat in the Emir’s Cup quarterfinal as a deserved victory.

Speaking after the match, Ibrahim said: “Alhamdulillah for this win and for reaching this semifinal. We scored four goals and those who watched the match from the stands may have thought it was easy. This is not true at all. On the pitch, it was a difficult battle, especially as we played under high temperature.”

He added: “I think the win was important especially as we were coming from winning the Qatar Cup. Some feared that our rhythm would be effected. So I believe this match was an important turning point for our journey in this tournament.”
