Hassan Al-Haydos: Our goal was to win and we achieved it

​Al-Sadd star Hassan Al-Haydos spoke to the media after the 3-2 win over Lekhwiya and stressed upon the importance of the result in the race to finish second in the league standings.

Al-Haydos said: “We went into the match with one goal only – to win the match and get the three points to help us get to second place. And we surely played well and succeeded in achieving our goal despite the dfficulty of the match.”

He added: “Lekhwiya fought strongly and despite the numerical disadvantage, they managed to get the equalizer at a very important time of the match. But our desire to win was bigger and we succeeded in clinching the win. The three points are the most beautiful thing we take from the match and also the most important thing.”
