Hamroun: The Clasico will be difficult, teamwork the reason for our victories

Al-Sadd’s Algerian star Jugurtha Hamroun believes that his side is fully ready for the upcoming QNB Stars League clash with Al-Rayyan, which will be played on Thursday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Hamroun said: “It will be an excellent match and an important one too for both teams. Everyone is waiting for it. This Clasico is more difficult because Al-Rayyan are stronger than last season and we know their strength, (but) we have the capability to win.”

He added: “We expect the Al-Sadd fans to come and support us strongly because they are our biggest strength. They have always been a reason for our wins,” added the winger, while promising that the players will follow their same philosophy in order to win. “This month will be very important for the team, at home and in Asia.”

Hamroun also said: “It is not important who scores. Everyone knows that team work is the reason behind our victories. All that we want is a win and to get a five-point gap between us and Al-Rayyan.”

The Algerian added that he was happy to hear that Al-Sadd fans are very excited about the goals he has scored against Al-Rayyan. “I am happy to know about the excitement among the Al-Sadd fans because of my goals against Al-Rayyan. I repeat once again that team work is the reason for the goals and all that matters to me is to win over Al-Rayyan and get the three points.”

Hamroun concluded by saying: “Our thoughts are fully on the Clasico. If we begin the match well and score, then we will be close to getting a win.”
