Hamid Ismail: Winning is crucial for us

Al-Sadd star Hamid Ismail stressed on the importance of winning the upcoming AFC Champions League game against Pakhtakor, which will be played on Monday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Speaking at the press conference, Hamid said: “Our goal is to win three points, especially as we are playing at home. We will go into this game with full strength. The point we got in Tashkent will help improve our position. We will work on correcting the errors that happened in that game. Our players are capable of carrying out their responsibilities.”

He added: “We have two matches coming up in Doha, winning them will put the team in a good position to qualify for the next stage. And so, defeating Pakhtakor is going to be important for the team.”

Finally, he said: “Pakhtakor are a strong team and everyone saw how they played in the away game. We will work on being fully prepared to win against them tomorrow.”
