First team resumes training

Al-Sadd SC football first team resumed training at 6 PM on Tuesday after a day of rest given to the players following the 3-2 win over Lekhwiya in Round 23 of the Qatar Stars League.
The Wolves are preparing for the upcoming game against Al-Sailiya in Round 24 of the QSL, which will be played on April 2 at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium.
The training session was held in the absence of 7 players – Saad Al-Dosari, Pedro Miguel, Mohammed Kasola, Abdelkarim Hassan, Ali Asad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Musab Khodr – who have been called up to the Qatar national team squad for the matches against Hong Kong and China in the 2018 World Cup/2019 Asian Cup joint qualifiers.
The coaching staff led by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira implemented the physical training programme, while there was also a focus on technical skill drills in small areas. The team is now set to train on Wednesday from 6 PM.
Rest for the reserves
Meanwhile, the reserve team players were given a day off after their 2-2 draw with Lekhwiya in Round 16 of the QatarGas League.
