Ferreira: My goal is to win the Amir Cup before leaving Qatar

Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira expressed his wish to win the Amir Cup before leaving the country, while speaking ahead of the semifinal clash with Al-Rayyan.

Addressing the media at the pre-match press conference, Ferreira said: “It will be a very tough game for us. This is the fourth Amir Cup semifinal for me with Al-Sadd and everyone knows how much this tournament means for the fans.”

He added: “We have just one game remaining to reach the final. We cannot make mistakes because there is no time to make up for them. Our only goal is to win so that we can reach the final.”

Ferreira also pointed out that Al-Sadd have the capability to win the trophy. “The A-Sadd players deserve to win the trophy. THey have been playing since last July, almost a game every three days for club and country but we are fully prepared for this tournament.”

“I am happy with what we have achieved in the Champions League, qualifying for the second stage at the end of my stint with the club. Now I want to win the Amir Cup before leaving Qatar.”
