Ferreira: Happy with the 100% record; we need to work to reach where we want

Jesualdo Ferreira congratulated the players and staff of Qatar SC for their performance in the game with Al-Sadd in Round 4 of the QNB Stars League.

Speaking to the press after the match, the Al-Sadd head coach said: “I want to congratulate Qatar SC and their coach. We faced a strong, organized team who made the game difficult for us, especially in the first half. I know that they have been practicing together for a long time, which has increased their coordination and made them a strong opponent for Al-Sadd.”

“We knew about the difficulty of hte match. We practiced hard for this match,” added Ferreira. “I am happy with Baghdad Bounedjah, who scored a goal on his return to the team.”

Asked about the team’s performance in the first half, Ferreira said: “The first half was difficult for us, especially with the organized play of Qatar SC. We changed our system in the seond half and we managed to get the lead. We wasted more than 5 chances to score because their keeper was excellent.”

“We are happy with 100% record until now, although I’m not satisfied with the performance when I compare it with that of last season.”

Ferreira concluded by saying: “We have to work a lot in the upcoming period in order to reach the level we want to reach.”
