Ferreira announces squad for Al-Arabi clash: Xavi misses out, Jung returns

The Al-Sadd football first team concluded their preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 13 game against Al-Arabi, with a final training session on Saturday evening.

The coaching staff focused on physical exercises and training drills, with a focus on movement and reactions, in addition to a practice mini-game in the middle of the pitch.

At the end of the session, head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the 18-man matchday squad for the game.

The squad is as follows: Jehad Mohammed, Saad Al-Dosari, Pedro Miguel, Abdelkarim Hassan, Jung Woo-young, Ali Asad, Hassan Al-Haydos, Baghdad Bounedjah, Hamid Ismail, Gabi, Khoukhi Boualem, Akram Afif, Ahmed Sayyar, Musab Kheder, Tareq Salman, Hassan Ahmed, Salem Al-Hajri, Yasir Abubakar.

Captain Xavi Hernandez misses out after picking up a muscle injury in the QSL Cup game against Al-Sailiya, while Jung Woo-young makes his return to the squad after recovering from an ankle injury.

Later on Friday, the team left for an overnight camp at the Torch hotel, from where they will leave for the Grand Hamad Stadium tomorrow evening.
