Ferreira announces matchday squad, Al-Haydos returns
Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira has announced the matchday squad for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 19 game against Al-Duhail, which will be played on Thursday at the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium.
The squad includes Hassan Al-Haydos, who makes his return after recovering from an injury that kept him out of the last two games.
Missing out is Iranian international defender Morteza Pouraliganji, who has been ruled out with a muscle injury.
The squad announcement came after the end of the final training session on Wednesday, which saw the team work on light technical training before holding a practice mini game.
The 19-man matchday squad is as follows: Saad Al-Dosari, Meshaal Barsham, Yasser Abubakar, Baghdad Bounedjah, Ahmed Sayyar, Xavi, Khoukhi Boualem, Hamid Ismail, Jugurtha Hamroun, Ali Asad, Ali Ferydoon, Abdelkarim Hassan, Akram Afif, Musab Kheder, Salem Al-Hahri, Hassan Ahmed, Ahmed Suhail, Hassan Al-Haydos.
Later, the team left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the game.
