It is a great day for me

Happy to join the Wolves, scoring is my profession

I am eager to start playing matches, I am fully ready

Al-Sadd is a big team and can get out of the current decline

Playing alongside Nadir Belhadj is a big honour
Al-Sadd striker Baghdad Bounedjah has expressed his delight after appearing at his first training session with the club following his recovery from the injury he had picked up while playing for Etoile du Sahel in the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup final.

Speaking in an exclusive chat with the club website before the start of the training session on Tuesday, Bounedjah said: “It is a great day for me; the lay-off period was very difficult. I am happy to return to group training and I feel that I have become much better than what I previously was.”

The Algerian striker went on to add: “I have spent more than two months away from the pitch and it was a hugely challenging period for me, especially as this was the most dangerous injury I have suffered in my career. But with determination and belief, I was able to overcome it and recuperate strongly in order to return to training again.” He pointed out that he is a striker who always looks to score goals and help his team to victories and trophies.

Bounedjah also stated that he was eager to start playing with the Wolves, saying: “I am anxious to start playing for Al-Sadd in matches, especially as I am now fully ready and I will await the decision of the coach with full spirit in order to be with the team on the pitch.” He also said that Al-Sadd is a big team – the Boss of all clubs in terms of titles and that the recent period of negative results will not last long.

He concluded the chat by saying: “I hope to return to action as soon as possible with the team in the coming match. Al-Sadd was always checking up on my status and condition; all the officials helped in enabling my return.”
