16 Feb 2016
Al-Sadd SC football first team trained on Tuesday evening and the session witnessed the first appearance of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah who has recovered from an injury which he picked up during his loan period at Tunisan side Etoile du Sahel in November.

Bounedjah had suffered an ankle injury during the 2015 CAF Confederation Cup final between Etoile and South African team Orlando Pirates.

Jesualdo Ferreira, head coach of Al-Sadd, welcomed the Algerian striker to the team before the start of the session, in the presence of the players and the club management and coaching staff.

Al-Sadd is currently preparing for the Qatar Stars League Round 19 game against Al-Khor, which will be played on Friday evening at the Al-Khor Stadium. The coaching staff used the session to focus on certain tactics in attack and defence.

Light training for the reserves

The players of the reserve team trained lightly on Tuesday after playing Al-Arabi in the QatarGas League Round 12 match on Monday. The match ended in a 1-2 defeat for Al-Sadd.

Return of Kasola

The training session on Tuesday also saw the return of defender Mohammed Kasola to group training after his recovery from an injury he suffered in the match against Al-Wakrah in Round 16 of the QSL, which had kept him out of action in the recent matches.
