Ali Asad: We await the support from our fans in the Emir Cup final

Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad has stressed on the difficulty of his side’s upcoming Emir Cup final against Al-Rayyan, which will be played on Friday at the Khalifa International Stadium.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Asad said: “Each team has the desire to win the prestigious title and to lift the trophy. This is the hope of everyone because it is the most prestigious cup and has the name of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.”

He went on to say: “The finals are undoubtedly different. The Cup matches are completely different from other matches. It is not a normal match. Our wins over Al-Rayyan during these past few weeks are not a measure because each match has its own circumstances and context.”

Asad also said: “It is possible that some minor details could have an effect on the match, especially as both teams have excellent players who can make a difference. We are ready for the match and we know how difficult it will be. We also know how important it is for the fans.”
