Ali Asad: Grateful to the fans and my teammates; the award will motivate me

Al-Sadd midfielder Ali Asad spoke of his happiness after being presented with the club’s Player of the Month award for January.

Speaking to the club website, Ali said: “I am grateful to the fans who voted for me. I also want to thank my teammates for helping me. I hope the fans will support the team in the coming matches, especially the upcoming game against Al-Shahaniya.”

He went on to add: “I want to thank my teammates because this award is for them alongside me as well. Without them, I cannot achieve anything. We are one group and one team and we will remain so.”

Ali also said: “At Al-Sadd, we play to win all titles and this award is a big motivation to continue working and give my best to help the team win matches and compete for the title.”

He concluded by saying: “The next match against Al-Shahaniya will require a lot of effort in order to win and get the three points to compete for the league title. We also have to prepare well for the AFC Champions League playoff against Esteghlal.”
