Al-Shammari: We have a real desire to make the fans happy

Al-Sadd striker Meshaal Al-Shammari believes the team’s next match against Al-Wakrah in Round 20 of the Qatar Stars League will be a difficult match where his side will be focused on winning.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Al-Shammari said: “Al-Wakrah have excellent players in all departments and they have been performing well despite the bad results. They will have a huge desire to win and slowly move closer to ensuring survival in the league.”

The Al-Sadd youngster went on to add: “We have a real desire to set things right with the fans after a series of bad results recently, be it at home or in Asia. All I’m hoping for is for the Al-Wakrah match to be start of the Saddawi return to winning ways.”

Al-Shammari went on to conclude by saying: “Everyone is waiting for a positive response from the Al-Sadd players during this is phase and we promise give our best. We cannot do anything but focus on the domestic tournaments now in order to give happiness to the fans, who are expecting a lot from the team. I personally am always ready to help my team.”
