Al-Sadd to resume training on Tuesday

The Al-Sadd football first team is scheduled to resume training on Tuesday, the 13th of March, in order to begin preparations after a 11-day period of rest.

Second in the table

Before the rest period, Al-Sadd drew their last game with Umm Salal 0-0.

The Wolves are currently in second place in the league table with 54 points after the end of Round 23.

Preparations for Al-Rayyan

The team is now set to begin preparations for facing Al-Rayyan in the Round 24 match, which will be played on April 2nd.

Absence of internationals

Al-Sadd will be without 10 Qatari players who are away on international duty, when they resume training. 7 players are with the senior Qatar national team which is preparing to face Iran and Uzbekistan in the 2018 World Cup qualification phase. They are: Saad Al-Dosari, Mohammed Kasola, Ibrahim Majid, Pedro, Hamed Ismail, Ali Asad and Hassan Al-Haydos. Three other players are with the U23 national team: Meshaal Al-Shammari, Hassan Ahmed and Hussam Kamal.

Salem out injured; Morteza away with Iran

Also absent from training will be Salem Al-Hajri, who is recovering after a cartilage injury and Morteza Pouraliganji, who is away on national duty with Iran, who are preparing to face Qatar and China in the World Cup qualifiers.
