Al-Sadd resume training to prepare for Al-Sailiya
Al-Sadd began preparing for the upcoming clash with Al-Sailiya in Round 14 of the QNB Stars League, which will be held on February 1 at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium.
The first team resumed its training on Tuesday morning at the club’s secondary pitch in preparation for the match, after the two-day rest given to the players by the coach Xavi Hernandez. That was after the 4-2 win over Al-Shahaniya in Round 13, a result that saw the Wolves maintain their third place position in the league table and increase their tally to 27 points.
Tuesday’s session saw all the available players train intensely, with the technical staff keen to work on physical aspects in order to reach the required level of fitness, especially as the team has a number of important matches coming up in the league, Amir Cup and in the AFC Champions League.
Meanwhile, the session also saw the return of Tarek Salman and Hamed Ismail, after their absence during the Al-Khor and Al-Shahaniya matches in the league, due to injury.
Spanish midfielder Gabi continued his rehabilitation and treatment under the supervision of the club’s medical staff, due to the muscle injury he suffered which prevented him from playing in the previous two matches.
