Al-Sadd resume training; Khalfan continues recovery

1 min read

The Al-Sadd football first team resumed training at 5:30 PM on Saturday at the club’s training pitch after a day’s rest on Friday.

The team is now preparing for the upcoming QSL Round 7 game against Al-Wakrah, which will be played on the 20th of November.

The coaching staff, led by head coach Jesualdo Ferreira, implemented the physical training programme especially as the players were returning from a period of rest. This is important for the preparation of the players ahead of what will be a crucial phase before the resumption of the Qatar Stars League.

8 Al-Sadd players are currently unavailable for training as they are away with the Qatar senior national team – Saad Al-Dosari, Salem Al-Hajri, Pedro, Ali Asad, Mohammed Kasola, Hamed Ismail, Hassan Al-Haydos, Ibrahim Majid. This is in addition to the three Olympic team players – Meshaal Al-Shammari, Hatem Kamal and Hussam Kamal – and the duo of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah and Iranian defender Morteza Pouraliganji, who are also away on international duty.

Meanwhile, Khalfan Ibrahim continued his recuperation programme with a training session with the ball, under the supervision of physio Joao Marcos. Khalfan is scheduled to join up with the team for group training in the next two days.
