1 min read

The Al-Sadd first team resumed training on Tuesday at the Aspire Academy grounds, following the 3-1 win over Al-Nassr (KSA) in the AFC Champions League quarterfinal second leg game.

The win saw the Wolves progress with a 4-3 aggregate win, and they will now face Al-Hilal (KSA) in the semifinals. The first leg will be played in Doha on 1 October, while the second leg will be played in Riyadh on 22 October.

Al-Sadd are currently preparing for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 4 game against Umm Salal, which will be played on Friday at Al-Janoub Stadium. Al-Sadd have six points from two games, with the postponed Round 3 game against Al-Sailiya to be played on 24 September.

During Tuesday’s training session, Xavi Hernandez and his coaching staff implemented recovery training for the group of players who had appeared in Monday’s game. The rest of the team underwent physical and technical drills with the ball.

The team was then given a day off from training on Wednesday, after which they will return for a final pre-match session on Thursday.
