Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for Al-Rayyan
The Al-Sadd football first team held its main training session on Friday evening from 6:15 PM at the club’s training pitch, as part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming QSL Round 24 match against Al-Rayyan, which will be played on April 2 at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
The Wolves go into the match sitting in second place in the league table with 54 points. In their last league game, Al-Sadd drew 0-0 with Umm Salal in Round 23. As for Al-Rayyan, they are in third place with 47 points. In the first phase game between the two sides, Al-Sadd prevailed 5-0.
Friday’s main training session saw the participation of all the available first team players. The coaching staff focused on choosing their preferred options for the starting lineup.
Kasola to miss the Clasico
Al-Sadd defender Mohamed Kasola is set to miss the Clasico matchup against Al-Rayyan after he received his fourth yellow card in the last game against Umm Salal.
Salem Al-Hajri remains out of action
Midfielder Salem Al-Hajri will be out of contention for a place in the squad as he is still recovering following cartilage surgery.
Ferreira and Bounedjah to attend presser
The pre-match press conference will be held at the Al-Sadd Club conference hall from 11:30 AM on Saturday. It will be attended by Jesualdo Ferreira and Baghdad Bounedjah.
