Al-Sadd holds main training session to prepare for Al-Khor

​The Al-Sadd SC football first team held its main training session from 5:30 PM on Wednesday ahead of the QSL Round 19 game against Al-Khor, which is scheduled to kick off at 4:45 PM on Friday at the Al-Khor Stadium.

Al-Sadd will go into the match sitting in fifth place in the league standings with 29 points, having lost their last match 0-1 to Qatar SC. As for Al-Khor, they are in 9th place with 22 points. Al-Sadd will look to return to winning ways and get back into the top four once again.

The main training session saw the participation of all the available stars of the team and the coaching staff used the session to select their options for the starting XI, keeping in mind the absence of certain players due to suspension and injury.

Talal Al-Baloushi continues to be out of action

Midfielder Talal Al-Baloushi will remain out of action and will miss the game against Al-Khor. He is currently recuperating after a muscle injury he sustained during the AFC Champions League playoff against Al-Jazira.

Suspension keeps out Pedro

Defender Pedro Correia will also miss the match against Al-Khor after receiving his fourth yellow card against Qatar SC.

Kasola performs well in group training

Mohammed Kasola continued to train with the team after his recovery from an injury which he had picked up in the match against Al-Wakrah in the QSL. He is now available for selection ahead of the Al-Khor match.

Bruised knee rules out Hamad Mansour

Youngster Hamad Mansour has been ruled out of training after an injury. He sustained a bruised knee during the game against Al-Arabi in the QatarGas League.

Special honour for Alaadeen Younes

Al-Sadd first team player Alaadeen Younes was afforded a special commemoration by his teammates, coaches and the club management after the session on Wednesday. It came as the player is preparing to leave for the United States to complete his studies.
