Al-Sadd fans show their support before the team’s departure for Tehran

Fans of Al-Sadd attended the team’s training session on Thursday evening, in order to show their support for the players before their departure for Tehran to play the AFC Champions League quarterfinal first leg against Esteghlal.

The supporters greeted the players before the start of the session, and promised them all possible support to lift their spirits, hoping for a return from the Azadi Stadium with a positive result.

Later, the team began their training session with physical exercises in the first fifteen minutes before moving on to training drills with the ball. Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira used the second half of the session to work on some tactical strategies.

Ferreira is set to announce the travelling squad for the game against Esteghlal before Saturday’s departure for Tehran. The announcement will be made after the end of Friday’s training session, which will be held from 6:30 PM onwards at the club’s training facility.

Tareq Salman, Meshaal Ibrahim and Hatem Kamal could be in contention for the squad, after rejoining the team on Thursday following the end of their Asian Games campaign with the Qatar U-23 national team in Indonesia.
