Al-Sadd draw with Lekhwiya in the QatarGas League

Al-Sadd Reserves and Lekhwiya Reserves played out a 2-2 draw in the QatarGas League Round 16 match played at the Grand Hamad Stadium on Monday. The result means that Al-Sadd now have 17 points in the league standings.

Ehab Ahmed gave Lekhwiya an early lead when he scored in the first minute itself. Khaled Radwan doubled the lead with a header in the 14th minute. The teams went into halftime with Al-Sadd trailing 0-2.

The second half witnessed a lot of spirit and fight as Al-Sadd attempted to get back into the game. In the 84th minute, they finally pulled one back through a penalty from Meshaal al-Shammari. Deep in additional time, Al-Sadd salvaged a point when Gaser Yahya scored a late equalizer to make it 2-2.

Al-Sadd Reserves began the match with the following players: Steven Tedga, Ali Faydh, Gaser Yahya, Abdulaziz Bakhit, Abdullah Khaled, Ayoob Mashhoor, Hamad Mansour, Hossam Kamal, Abdulaziz Al Jalabi, Nasser Al Nasr, Meshaal Al Shammari.

Saoud Al Nasr, Khaled Al Yazidi and Ibrahim Faqeeh entered in the second half as substitutes.
