Al-Sadd delegation set to leave for Malaysia to attend ACL draw

An official delegation from Al-Sadd SC will leave for the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur early on Tuesday, to attend the draw proceedings for the 2018 AFC Champions League.

Al-Sadd will be represented by sporting director Mohammed Gholam, media manager Ahmed Al-Ansari and first team manager Abdullah Al-Breik.

Four Qatari clubs will take part in next year’s competition: Al-Sadd, Al-Duhail and Al-Rayyan have automatic spots in the group stage while Al-Gharafa will have to navigate a playoff to reach the group stage.

The draw is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, December 6 and it will be followed by a workshop for the participating clubs. Two other workshops for match observers and media coordinators will be held on December 8 and 9 respectively.
