Al-Sadd defeat NK Radomlje in second pre-season friendly

In the second friendly game of the 2018-19 pre-season training camp, Al-Sadd defeated Slovenian side Radomlje 4-1 on Monday evening.

The match was played across three periods of 30 minutes each. Al-Sadd began the first period with the following lineup: Saoud Al-Hajri, Hamid Ismail, Pedro Miguel, Ibrahim Majid, Yasir Abubakar, Xavi Hernandez, Gabi Fernandez, Boualem Khoukhi, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Baghdad Bounedjah, Akram Afif

Radomlje took the lead in the 23rd minute but Al-Sadd equalised soon after through Pedro Miguel, who netted in the 28th minute. Two minutes later, Hamza Al-Sanhaji made it 2-1 in favour of Al-Sadd.

In the second period, the Al-Sadd coaching staff made 4 changes, bringing on Ali Asad, Musab Kheder, Jung Woo-young and Meshaal Barsham. In the 46th minute of the game, captain Xavi extended Al-Sadd’s lead by scoring the team’s third goal.

Al-Sadd made more substitutions in the third period, with Ahmed Suhail, Abdelkarim Hassan, Hassan Ahmed, Ahmed Sayyar, Salem Al-Hajri, Jugurtha Hamroun, Ghassan Waheed, Hatem Kamal and Jehad Mohammed. Ahmed Sayyar went on to conclude the scoring by netting Al-Sadd’s fourth and final goal in the 70th minute.

The game thus ended in a 4-1 win for the Wolves, which comes after a defeat by the same scoreline to MSV Duisburg in the first friendly match played last week.
