Al-Sadd continue training to prepare for Persepolis
The Al-Sadd football first team continued with its preparations of Sunday evening at the club’s training pitch, ahead of the upcoming clash with Persepolis in the 2018 AFC Champions League.
Having defeated Al-Wasl 2-1 on Matchday One, Al-Sadd will look to get their second win in a row when they face the Iranian champions Persepolis at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.
The coaching staff used Sunday’s practice session to implement recovery training for the group of players who had taken part in the last game against Al-Arabi in the league, which ended in a 5-1 win for Al-Sadd. As for the rest of the players, they underwent physical and technical training.
Meanwhile, Al-Sadd duo Khoukhi Boualem and Jugurtha Hamroun underwent special training on their own, as part of their rehabilitation process to prepare them for the clash with Persepolis. Hamroun was rested for the last game while Khoukhi has been out of action since getting injured in the game against Qatar SC.
