Al-Sadd continue training, day off on Wednesday
The Al-Sadd football first team continued its preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League game against Umm Salal, with a training session on Tuesday evening at the club’s training facility.
The match is set to be played on Sunday, the 19th of November.
Tuesday’s training session witnessed the return of the five Qatar U23 players (Meshaal Barsham, Hassan Ahmed, Meshaal Al-Shammari, Fahad Shanin and Yousuf Abdulrazaq) who joined the team after the national team camp, which included two friendlies against Syria U23.
During the session, Al-Sadd head coach Jesualdo Ferreira focused on intensifying preparations in physical and technical areas, and readying the players ahead of the upcoming action.
Star midfielder Xavi Hernandez took part in group training after recovering from a muscle injury that had kept him out of the team’s last game against Al-Ahli.
The team is now scheduled to take a day off as rest on Wednesday before returning to routing training at 5:30 PM on Thursday at the training facility.
Thursday session will see the return of the team’s international players – Saad Al-Dosari, Hassan Al-Haydos, Salem Al-Hajri, Musab Kheder, Khoukhi Boualem – after the end of their participation with the senior Qatar national team.
