Al-Sadd conclude preparations for Al-Kharaitiyat

Al-Sadd football first team concluded on Tuesday evening its preparations for the upcoming match against Al-Kharaitiyat, holding the final training session at the club’s training pitch. The game against Al-Kharaitiyat will kick off at 4:15 PM on Wednesday at the Al-Khor Stadium.

Spirited training session

Wednesday’s session was a spirited affair with the head coach Jesualdo Ferreira putting the players to their paces. The focus was on light tecnical training, in addition to running drills with and without the ball. There was also a practice match between the players in the middle of the pitch.

Ferreira announces the squad

At the end of the session, Ferreira announced the 18-man matchday squad for the game against Al-Kharaitiyat. The squad consists of Saad Al-Dosari, Muhannad Naim, Abdelkarim Hassan, Mohammed Kasola, Ibrahim Majid, Hussam Kamal, Hassan Balank, Ahmed Sohail, Xavi, Ayoob Mashhoor, Hamza Al-Sanhaji, Ali Asad, Pedro, Salem Al-Hajri, Musab Kheder, Hamed Ismail, Mohammed Waad and Meshaal Qasim.

The Wolves then left for a closed camp at the Movenpick Hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.

Mohammed Waad makes first appearance

The squad announcement saw the first appearance of youngster Mohammed Waad who is promoted from the youth squad as the team is missing a number of players who are unavailable for the match.

Mohammed Ghanem meets the players

Al-Sadd head of football Mohammed Ghanem Al-Ali met with the players before the start of the session on Tuesday, to express his full support for the team and to talk about the importance of the upcoming period.
