Al-Dosari and Abubakar ruled out of Al-Khor game, Pedro and Sayyar return
The Al-Sadd football first team concluded on Thursday night its preparations for the upcoming QNB Stars League Round 10 game against Al-Khor, which will be played at the Khalifa Stadium on Friday. Head coach Jesualdo Ferreira announced the matchday squad at the end of the session, and it saw the return of Pedro and Ahmed Bader Sayyar.
Pedro had been out of action for the past four weeks due to a shoulder injury while Sayyar missed the last game against Al-Duhail due to an illness.
On the other hand, the team will be without the services of goalkeeper Saad Al-Dosari and full-back Yasser Abubakar for Friday’s game. with Al-Dosari suffering from a shoulder injury whereas Abubakar has a back muscle problem. This is in addition to the absence of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, who has been ruled out for up to 6-8 weeks with a leg injury.
The final training session saw the coaching staff implement physical and light technical training, in addition to reaction drills. This was followed by a small-sided practice game. Later, the squad left for a closed camp at the Westin Doha Hotel, where they will stay until the time of departure for the match.
