Al-Breik: Al-Sadd won because of fighting spirit

​Al-Sadd first team manager Abdullah Al-Breik stressed that the Wolves were deserved winners after the 3-2 victory over Lekhwiya in Round 23 of the Qatar Stars League.

Speaking to the club website after the match, Al-Breik said: “It was a deserved win which came after the fighting spirit the players showed in the match and their ability to give their best to get the three points. They played like men and showed determination and desire.”

As for the performance of Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah, Al-Breik said: “Bounedjah is an excellent player and he gave a satisfactory performance to help the team in the first goals scored by Hassan Al-Haydos. The manager took him off as he has not reached full fitness yet.”

Al-Breik ended his talk by saying: “I am delighted with the deserved victory and I hope the players maintain this form and these good results so that we can stay in second place until the last round.”
