AFC Champions League: Esteghlal FC delegation reaches Doha

The Esteghlal FC delegation reached Doha on Thursday afternoon, ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League quarterfinal clash with Al-Sadd, which will be played on Monday at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Al-Sadd had earlier defeated Esteghlal 3-1 in the first leg which was held at the Azadi Stadium.

The 47-member delegation consists of players, team officials and coaching staff. After their arrival in Doha, the Esteghlal delegation was warmly received by Hamdan Mohammed Al-Jarjawi, who worked to ensure a smooth passage for the guests through the airport procedures.

Later, the delegation left for the Torch hotel, where they will stay for the duration of their visit. The Iranian side will train on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Aspire Academy grounds before holding their final training session at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Sunday evening.
