AFC Champions League: Al-Sadd to face Esteghlal in quarterfinals

Al-Sadd will face Esteghlal FC of Iran in the quarterfinals of the 2018 AFC Champions League, after the two teams were pitted together during the official draw which took place on Wednesday at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

The first leg will see Al-Sadd travel to Tehran to face Esteghlal on August 27, while the Wolves will host the Iranian side in Doha during the second leg on September 17.

In the other quarterfinal match in West Asia, Qatar’s Al-Duhail will play Iran’s Persepolis.
